John Henderson

Since earning a B.A. in Criminal Justice, and a M.B.A. in Executive Management, I have dedicated my entire career to working in within non-profit, educational and community-based organizations and small businesses. In a variety of leadership roles that range from that of supervisor within the juvenile detention system to serving as an university professor for almost 20 years, my drive stems from a firm belief that entire systems, no matter how sophisticated, are not successful at all if they cannot effectively serve one person at a time.

In my most recent as Executive Director of Communications and Marketing at the national non-profit educational organization, Foundations Inc., I led strategic partnership and development initiatives to improve educational experiences for at-risk youth. I helped the company establish its brand as a leading provider of customized professional development and technical assistance services for literally hundreds of professionals within schools, community-based organizations, and after school networks across the country.

I had the challenge of serving as one of the executive planners for the trademark Beyond School Hours® national conference, an annual professional development event for educators and youth development professionals. The conference experienced growth from 100 attendees before I joined the team to over 2,000 annually. Over the last ten years, the event has earned up to 1 million dollars each year.

My experiences in many diverse settings have given me unique insight and resourcefulness in creating innovative and successful business opportunities for individuals and organizations. My success has been the result of mastering the ability to make powerful and sustainable relationships period.

As a result, I have served on several boards and advisory councils and have been a frequent guest speaker and advisor by those seeking action and measurable progress related to marketing, development and strategic planning.

My wife, Stacey is a Registered Nurse and Wound Care Specialist. We have two sons. John III, a Professional Landscaper and Brandon, a Lieutenant in the United States Marines.
